Partner Bios: MVP’s partners have the “cred” that comes from academic institutions as well as working for large public companies, but they know what really matters is learned at the school of hard knocks. They’ve been involved with companies at every stage from start-up to shut down and everything in between. They’ve made all the mistakes before…and if they haven’t made one yet, they certainly know someone who has to help them guide you through the situation.
We are not self-proclaimed experts in small business, but we have “been there, done that” many times. If you’re in Cleveland, or anywhere else for that matter, and you’re thinking of hiring business consultants, you should also consider talking with a coach. All of our coaches are Licensed Professional Business Coaches through MVP’s affiliation with the Professional Business Coaches Alliance.
Jack Mencini: Jack has personally owned and operated 16 companies, 5 of which he bought, fixed up and subsequently sold, the others were started from scratch, including MVP and one that made the Weatherhead 100 list of fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio. All of this came after 17 years working for a couple of large public companies in Northeast Ohio that exposed him to business throughout the world.

The Trefoil: In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, our logo (it’s officially called a Trefoil “pronounced Tree Foil”) ties in directly with our 3 Circle approach. This is the result of the great work of our branding company
Nead Brand Partners (“NBP”) who spent the time to get to know and understand us and our process.
The Trefoil represents the overlapping areas of the 3 Circles which are the essential areas where business owners spend the majority of their time…the proverbial “grey areas” of business. The real work of managing and improving a thriving business resides in the areas of critical overlap. The owner must maintain a healthy distance from the myriad of tasks that can easily consume time and energy.
The three-pronged symbol is composed of overlapping links, the colors of which flow in and out to create a fluid whole. This suggests the organic, ever-changing process of managing and refining a business. The leaf shape also implies that growing a business is an organic process, requiring flexibility, focus, and an ability to nurture all aspects to create a healthy, balanced organization.
There’s more. After NBP did additional due diligence we discovered that our logo closely resembles the Christian "Triquetra" symbol, which represents the holy Trinity (must be our Catholic educations coming out!). It also has roots in Celtic and Nordic mythologies, as well as Wiccan and even satanic references. Long story short, it’s a powerful logo with a rich cultural history.
